Engineering & Industrial Training

  • Course Duration: 12 months plus End Point Assessment

    Course Level : Level 2 Apprenticeship

    The Programme

    All apprentices taking part in the Level 2 Engineering Operative Standard will spend 6 weeks at the Swarm REAGIT centre in Norwich. During these 30 days of intensive training, the apprentice will develop basic skills in:

    • Health and Safety and workshop behaviours,

    • Hand tools and traditional engineering techniques,

    • Working with and understanding technical documentation.

    The apprentice will then attend site 1 day per week for 16 weeks to complete the technical element of the apprenticeship.

    Our tutors will attend site every 8-10 weeks for onsite observations, support and preparation of the portfolio for the End Point Assessment (EPA)

  • Course Duration: 24 -36 months plus End Point Assessment

    Course Level : Level 3 Apprenticeship

    The Programme

    All apprentices taking part in the level 3 Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician Standard will spend 20 weeks at the Swarm REAGIT centre in Norwich. During these 100 days of intensive training, the apprentice will develop basic skills in:

    ​​

    • Health and Safety and workshop behaviours,

    • Hand tools and traditional engineering techniques,

    • Working with and understanding technical documentation.

    • Welding and basic Fabrication

    • Electrical installation, inspection and testing

    • Machining - Turning and Milling

    The apprentice will then attend site 1 day per week for 72 weeks to complete the developing knowledge element of the apprenticeship.

    Every 8–10 weeks, our tutors will visit the site to carry out observations, provide support, and assist with preparing the portfolio for the End Point Assessment (EPA).

  • Course Duration: 12-14 months plus End Point Assessment

    Course Level : Level 2 Apprenticeship

    The Programme

    All apprentices taking part in the level 2 General Welder Standard will spend 6 weeks at the Swarm REAGIT centre in Norwich. During these 30 days of intensive training, the apprentice will develop basic skills in:

    ​​

    • Health and Safety and workshop behaviours,

    • Hand tools and traditional engineering techniques,

    • Working with and understanding technical documentation.

    • Welding skill development in 2 different welding processes (MIG, TIG or MMA)

    For a period of 16 weeks, the apprentice will visit the site one day each week to undertake the technical component of the apprenticeship.

    Tutors will be on-site once every 8–10 weeks to conduct observations, offer guidance, and help with portfolio preparation for the End Point Assessment (EPA).

  • Course Duration: 24 months plus End Point Assessment

    Course Level : Level 3 Apprenticeship

    The Programme

    All apprentices taking part in the level 3 Metal Fabricator Standard will spend 1 day per week over a 2 year period at the Swarm REAGIT centre in Norwich.

    ​​

    • Health and Safety and workshop behaviours,

    • Hand tools and traditional engineering techniques,

    • Working with and understanding technical documentation.

    • Welding skill development in 2 welding processes to include MIG, TIG or MMA.

    • Metal preparation and fabrication techniques

    Our tutors will conduct reviews every 8-12 weeks for ongoing support and preparation of the portfolio for the End Point Assessment (EPA)

  • Course Duration: 24 months plus End Point Assessment

    Course Level : Level 3 Apprenticeship

    The Programme

    All apprentices taking part in the level 3 Pipe Welder Standard will spend 20 weeks at the Swarm REAGIT centre in Norwich. During these 100 days of intensive training, the apprentice will develop basic skills in:

    ​​

    • Health and Safety and workshop behaviours,

    • Hand tools and traditional engineering techniques,

    • Working with and understanding technical documentation.

    • Welding skill development in welding processes to include MIG, TIG, MMA and Fluxed Core

    • Pipe preparation and fabrication

    The apprentice will then attend site 1 day per week for 2 years to complete the technical element of the apprenticeship.

    At intervals of 8–10 weeks, our tutors will attend the site to observe, deliver support, and aid in compiling the portfolio required for the End Point Assessment (EPA).

  • Course Duration: 36 months plus End Point Assessment

    Course Level : Level 3 Apprenticeship

    The Programme

    All apprentices taking part in the level 3 Installation & Maintenance Electrician Standard will spend 20 weeks at the Swarm REAGIT centre in Norwich. During these 30 days of intensive training, the apprentice will develop basic skills in:

    • Health and Safety and workshop/site behaviours,

    • Hand tools and traditional engineering techniques,

    • First fix installations,

    • Measuring and testing of circuits,

    • Working with and understanding technical documentation.

    The apprentice will then attend site 1 day per week for up to 100 weeks to complete the technical element of the apprenticeship to prepare them for their End Point Assessment (EPA) and their AM2 final test.

    Our professional tutors will visit the site every 8-10 weeks for practical observations, support and preparation of the portfolio for the End Point Assessment (EPA).

  • Course Duration: 13 months plus End Point Assessment

    Course Level : Level 2 Apprenticeship

    The Programme

    All apprentices taking part in the Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery Apprenticeship course will spend the first 4 weeks at the Swarm REAGIT centre in Norwich and then attend their employer’s site for work for the next 4 weeks. After that they will work in cyclical patterns of 2 weeks at the Swarm REAGIT centre and 4 weeks on site.
