Funding & Employer Commitment:
A Market Research Executive Apprentice needs time to learn as well as opportunities to put their developing expertise into practice. Employers should provide 20% protected off-the-job training time, allowing them to build the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours required for their role. More information is available in our guide to off-the-job training here.
Within the workplace, apprentices should have access to relevant research activities, regular feedback and guidance from experienced colleagues. This will help them connect their training with real business challenges and gather the evidence needed to complete their portfolio successfully.
If you’re an Apprenticeship Levy payer, your available levy funds can be used towards eligible training. Other employers can access government funding, with 2026 support including full funding for eligible apprentices under 25 and incentives of up to £2,000 when recruiting apprentices aged 16–24.
