Funding & Employer Commitment:
Employers must give apprentices protected time for off-the-job learning, equivalent to 20% of their working time. This dedicated development time allows the apprentice to build the creative, technical and professional skills they need to contribute effectively to your organisation. Find out more about off-the-job training here.
As an employer, you’ll also need to provide appropriate guidance, feedback and mentoring throughout the Content Creator Apprenticeship. Giving the apprentice opportunities to work on genuine content projects within your organisation will help them put their learning into practice and build the evidence needed to complete their portfolio to the required standard.
Levy-paying employers can use their apprenticeship levy funds towards eligible training costs. Non-levy-paying businesses may also be able to access government funding and incentives, including the 2026 measures offering full funding for eligible apprentices under 25 and up to £2,000 for employers recruiting apprentices aged 16–24.
