Apprenticeship Spotlight: Izzy’s Multi Channel Marketing Apprenticeship journey at Signs Express

Marketing apprentice, Izzy Hall, has been with us for the last year under the careful training eye of Sally Walters, our experienced Marketing Tutor, to study for her Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketing Apprenticeship. Izzy is employed as an apprentice at Signs Express and she and Sally have been working closely together on Marketing theory learning so that Izzy can then take her new found knowledge back to her role at Signs Express and carefully apply it in practice for her employer.

Signs Express are clearly very passionate about developing emerging talent and Izzy, their Marketing Apprentice at the Franchise Support Centre, is a great example of that commitment. Transitioning from university into a hands-on apprenticeship, Izzy has embraced the opportunity to gain real-world experience across a variety of marketing disciplines.
Before joining Signs Express, Izzy worked in customer service, while searching for the right apprenticeship to kickstart her marketing career. She discovered the opportunity on Indeed and was drawn to the role's variety and the chance to contribute to a national franchise network.
Since joining, Izzy has learned key digital tools like Canva, Birdeye, and our CMS platform, as well as the importance of SEO and content creation. She’s taken pride in working on social media posts, contributing to a healthcare campaign, and supporting our Local Marketing Programme, all while receiving strong mentorship from her manager, team and marketing tutor, Sally Walters, at Swarm Training.
Her line manager, Damien Berry, said…
"Izzy was a great candidate to put forward to us for the apprenticeship. The support she has from both the training provider and us has allowed her to excel."
Izzy’s favourite part of her apprenticeship is the supportive team culture and the ability to grow while making a visible impact across the Signs Express network. She’s discovered a newfound appreciation for the signage industry and the complex work involved in supporting franchisees.
Reflecting on her experience, Izzy encourages others to consider apprenticeships as a practical, empowering route into the industry: “You get to apply what you learn in real time, take on responsibilities, and figure out what areas you really enjoy.”
As she continues her learning journey through Swarm Training, Izzy is building a strong foundation for a successful marketing career and we’re excited to see what comes next.
